Intersection Work Upcoming
[new!] The contractor is scheduled to start work at both the Appletree Drive intersection and the Jenes Lane intersection on Monday, June 24. This will involve saw cutting, demolition, and pouring new concrete. During this time, northbound and southbound traffic on Fulton Road will be reduced to one lane at the intersections. Eastbound and westbound traffic on those cross-streets may be detoured at times; please follow detour signs as needed. During this work there may be temporarily limited access to driveways at some locations – the contractor will notify those residences where limited access is likely to occur.Other intersections will undergo similar work next week, with implementation of similar traffic control measures (with varying configurations): Wishing Well Lane, South School Access Road, North School Access Road, Quail Hollow Drive, and Piner Road.
Please note that upcoming saw cutting in some areas may continue past normal work hours into the early evening, but not at night.
When traveling in and near the construction areas, be cautious and aware of work crews, flaggers, traffic control, rough roadways, special signage, and heavy equipment. Please be prepared for temporary traffic control measures throughout the work area.
Construction Underway and Upcoming
In the coming weeks the contractor will begin working in the various intersections on Fulton Road between Piner Road and Guerneville Road. Details on any possible night work and road detours associated with this work will be provided when the schedule is developed.
- Pavement repair work is currently underway and taking place throughout the project site
- Work on roadway medians is continuing
- Installation of irrigation main and laterals is continuing

Reminders

Project Overview and Schedule
This project will widen, reconstruct, and rehabilitate one mile of Fulton Road between Guerneville Road and Piner Road, transforming it into an updated, four-lane regional/arterial street, as well as provide many other improvements. The project started in June 2022 and is expected to last for approximately 24 months (all schedules are subject to change depending on weather, unanticipated circumstances, and seasonal access restrictions to creek areas).
Work hours: 7 A.M. to 7 P.M. Monday thru Friday. With City approval, periodic work on nights (8:30 P.M. to 5:00 A.M.) or weekends may take place.
